The Calcutta High Court, on Thursday, granted conditional permission for the Indian Secular Front (ISF) to conduct a meeting in front of Victoria House. The court, presided over by Justice Jai Sengupta, imposed specific conditions for the gathering.

Notably, the court ruled that the individual in charge of the meeting must submit their name to the court, and the ISF is allowed to hold the meeting from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on the designated day. While the court acknowledged the absence of valid reasons for the state to deny permission, it emphasized a restriction on the number of supporters, capping it at one thousand attendees.
